I am a Registered Social Worker (#13198) and a member of the BC College of Social Workers as well as the BC Association of Social Workers.
I'm also the daughter of a white Québécoise mother and a Sri Lankan father; a settler who grew up and continues to live on unceded Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh land; cis; and queer.
I have been involved in community-based social justice work for the past 16 years. This work has ranged from organizing queer and feminist events to coordinating family programs for refugees and immigrants to crisis intervention around sexual assault.
I received my Master's of Social Work degree in 2016 from the University of British Columbia.
When I'm not working, I love spending time with my friends, child, and cat; putting an absurd amount of honey in my tea; shamelessly watching reality television; and getting lost in a book.
